What’s the application process?
How do I become a live in carer with Avion care?
Our application form has been created to be as easy as possible. You’ll start by completing a short form , and should take around 10-15 minutes to complete.
If you look like a great fit for Avion families we help, we’ll arrange a short 10 minute phone interview with you, to get to know you better and answer any questions you may have about Avion Care , or what it’s like to be a self-employed live-in carer with us.
The next stage is to get to know each other face to face. If all goes well during your phone interview, you’ll be invited to book a 20-30 minute video interview through Zoom at a time that works best for you. At this stage you’ll also be able to start sending us your references and relevant documentation, so you can start creating your profile on the Avion Care Platform.

types of placement
What type of placements can I work on?
Avion Care offers 2 types of placement – fixed date and ongoing.
Fixed date
A fixed-date placement is typically used for respite care or to cover a primary carer whilst they’re on a break. These placements will always be a clear start and end date.
Ongoing
Carers on an ongoing placement will typically be considered the primary carer for the person they’re caring for. However, they differ from fixed-date, placements as the carer returns to the same placement at regular intervals for the foreseeable future. Carers typically stay with their client in cycles of 4 to 10 weeks and then return after a break. When applying for ongoing placements, carers can state their preferred work schedule and will be able to arrange breaks once they’ve started.
